SENCOM

CO2, O2 and NH3 analyzer for compost plants
SENSOCOMP

In compost plants, O2 is controlled to verify that aerobic fermentation is in the correct process.

We developed the SENSOCOMP system to measure CO2, ammonia and oxygen levels and control if the reaction is correct.
The SENSOCOMP contains an infrared CO2 analyzer, one electrochemical oxygen sensor and one electrochemical ammonia sensor which can support high concentrations (up to 1.000 p.p.m. NH3).

Key characteristics

  • The system sucks and treats the sample from the tunnels and consists of:
  • Pre-conditioning block, in which a part of the condensed water is collected and eliminated.
  • Aspiration-Drive Block: responsible for circulating the sample from the analysis points in the tunnel to the exit.
  • Conditioning Block, its mission is to cool the sample to condense excess moisture that had not condensed in the first block, regulate the flow rate as well as to increase the temperature of the sample to lower its relative humidity and deliver it in optimum conditions to the next block .
  • Analysis Block where the sample of the tunnels or boxes is analyzed and the sample is returned to the environment.
  • Purge block is used to clean the NH3 sensor with filtered instrumentation air in order to extend its life.
  • The analog signals of the sensors can be treated with a proprietary data acquisition system based on control modules with a capacity of up to 8 sensors each with 8 programmable relay outputs.
  • The sensors used are of high reliability and long duration. The infrared has an estimated life of 10 years and the oxygen and ammonia of two years.
  • The whole set is mounted in a 19 "rack with two bodies pivoting (see photo).
  • Optionally you can add a data acquisition system, connected to a PC, with a software with record of the concentration of gases in each sensor, historical (charts and listings) and design of synoptics based on diagrams, plans or photographs
  • Maximum temperature: 70 - 80 ºC
  • Measured range O2: 0 - 25%
  • Measured CO2 range: 0 - 20%
  • Measured range NH3: 0 - 1000 ppm
  • Flow rate: 6 l / min.
  • Dimensions: 480 x 600 x 400 mm.
